i think before you fix add some mods you shouldnt increase the HP that much
it'll be easier to learn that way and you wouldn't spin out a lot

maybe just lower the weight as much as possible and use stage 1 engine and turbo for now

YOU NEED A:

-racing intake
-double clutch
-semi flywheel
-sports suspension

+springs front: 3.4 / back 3.2
+height - both to 3
+camber front: 2.0 / back 1.5

ok that sounds easy to setup, not to mention cheap.

there is a big drifting setup thread on gtplanet, stole the following from there for silvia s13:

Ride height: -10 front and rear
Spring rate: 6.0fr 5.2rr
Damper bound: fr5 rr5
Damper rebound: fr5 rr5
ARB: fr2 rr3
Camber:fr3.0 r0.5
Toe: fr0.0 rr0.2

Diff: all settings to 60

but we can get a drift line going. o yea and i tried initial d on friday
i played on myogi because it said it was easy, but still, it was hard as fuck

Because drifting there is different. Before a turn you have to shift down, let go of the gas, brake + turn.. Steer to control the drift, shift up on the exit of the drift.. It takes awhile to learn. Took me a couple games before I learned.

ok bbarger here is how to get around the 1 car gift limit per day (you can do this only when you haven't yet gifted your first car of the day):

-You go to community and select the person you want to send the car to.
-Click send gift, select garage, and the car you want to gift.
-After choosing what car to send to your friend in the community section, press "ok" like you normally do.
-Wait for the "operation complete" confirmation. The game autosaves now. DON'T press the ok-button on this screen! Just quit the game by pressing the PS-button.
-After quitting the game, sign out of psn. Sign back in again.
-Start your game again and you are ready to repeat this as many times as you want!

EDIT: I should warn you guys to hold off on gifting for now because the servers are back logged with gifted cars. People are claiming that cars go missing and dont show up for hours. Probably explains why i didnt get the gallardro. Ill check in a bit to see if showed up...

i dont know what to say but on gtplanet people are reporting that there cars disappeared after they attempted the glitch. Some people said that the cars showed up after an hour or two, but no sign of your gallardo when i was playing an hour ago. If the worse comes to pass, i have a lightly tuned gallardo i used for the lambo races that you can have to make up for the loss.

theres got to be a better way to acquire paint? Im thinking used car dealer or trading the same car back and forth to keep acquiring the paint.

also if anyone has a nice purple paint (italia) or white paint (lambo), let me know.

yeah rfactor, iracing those are hardcore sims. Check out this guy who went from iracing sim to an open wheel mazda race car and was only 3 seconds behind pro drivers. Only thing that held him back was that he wasnt used to g-forces (the "weight" meter at the bottom of gt5) and threw up in his helmet:

also on a separate note, what car did you use for gt all stars and how did you beat it? Where you facing le mans prototypes (clk gtr, minolta, 787b), gt1 (vette c5r, r8 gt, sls gt) or gt500 (japanese touring car)?

^ who me? I didn't beat it

the top 3 or 4 cars were all LMPs, then there were some race car versions of r8s and stuff in the back

I was using a fully-tuned Corvette ZR1 RM.

I might try it again at a later time with the Minolta race car that you win from doing Like the Wind in A-Spec.

It sucks because it takes a good hour to finish the championship. I don't want to play it again unless I can win it for sure.
