I did Comp Sci (UofW too!).... but my job role is in Statistical Data Modeling (Marketing). Ideally, I should go back to school and get at least a masters in stats or MBA, but too lazy.

The only programming I do now a days are queries in SAS.

that sounds crazy rizzo, but the only frame of reference for hard core i have is en sci (friends); so whats harder en sci or c&o?

What is en sci?

Actuarial science is the most hardcore shit I have ever seen... Most students drop out or change majors from it.... All the people I knew graduated with a bmath, except one girl.

But graduating is just the first step. Then you got to pass a bunch of exams which take years to do. When my friend finally passed everything, it took her 7 years after graduation! That's considered fast. But when she did, she had companies literally scouting her to work for them. Her salary now well over 200k+!

yes act sci is hardcore - there's 6 exams in total. You must really REALLY like math and stats and reading insurance stuff to be able to do it. And because of the exams and the amount of time you need to put in it, its one of those careers like medical and law where you can't afford to back out if u dun like it cuz ur in too deep
