Gran Turismo 5 Gets Damage Patch

Polyphony continues to make good on its promise to keep piling on the updates for Gran Turismo 5, its latest patch bringing mechanical damage to the PlayStation 3 driving sim.

Version 1.03 sees cars that are involved in heavy accidents subject to mechanical damage – which impacts the handling and performance of the cars. Damage is reflected both cosmetically and on an indicator in the game's HUD.

The patch weighs in at 150MB and comes hand in hand with new PlayStation 3 firmware – meaning you'll have to wait a while to get both up and running.

Early reports suggest that mechanical damage is limited to online races, and doesn't currently play a part in Gran Turismo 5's extensive single player offering.

Don't you go to GT shop for oil changes? It increases your HP

yea thats the only thing i do their, and put some aero kits to my cars
everything else are kinda pointless unless you have the cash

I've played quite a few need for speeds and enjoied them, i might rent this or buy it (either or i'll know i'll have people to play with =D)
